Hypotheses for the Mechanism of Jesus’ Death

Proposed mechanisms of Jesus’ death presented in medical literature have included; a blood clot that migrated to the heart or lung, suspension trauma, a cardiac event such as a heart attack and/or rupture of the heart muscle, suffocation, fatal stab wound, and shock. Each proposed mechanism is discussed in brief.

If a more expanded medical discussion is desired, see the Recommended Reading page for information on how to obtain a copy of my article along with other recommended resources.
